The Oiyül Language (/oɪuːl/ or /oɪʊl/) is a fictional Romance language that I created back in August.
Mutual intelligibility with French dialects[]
There is a varying degree of mutual intelligibility between Oiyül and various French dialects. The Jersey and Swiss French dialects are understood by Oiyüls. However, Oiyül intellectuals and others have reported that those who speak the Parisian French dialect can understand Oiyül, but Oiyüls could not understand the Parisian dialect.

Vocabulary[]
Oiyül contains many words not present in modern French dialects, such as Arabic, Persian and Russian loanwords, as well as Jèrriais vocabulary.
Writing System[]
The modern Oiyül language is the only spoken French that is written in the Cyrillic alphabet, as the Oiyül people lived under Soviet domination. It is a Russian-based alphabet plus 11 special letters: Ә, Ҕ, Ӡ, Ҟ, Ҥ, Ө, Ү, Ҳ, Һ, Џ, and Ҩ.
However, Oiyül did undergo some script changes in the past.
- Until 1929, Oiyül was written with a version of the Arabic script.
